Keepers NEW INFORMATION

Each franchise must list 2 keepers to Facebook group page (due before kickoff of first NFL wildcard week playoff game)
Failure to post your 2 keepers in a timely manner will result in default keepers which will constitute the 2 highest RFL point scores on your team from the just completed season (weeks 1-17 totals).

Our rosters are always 14 players (we have had a 12 round draft plus 2 keepers so the draft “technically” began on round 3 historically)

1-week before the draft day you will have to make a decision if you want to carry over 1 or 2 of your keepers on your 14 man roster.

·         If you choose 0(zero) keepers, you will have a 14 round draft based on our snaking draft order
·         If you choose 1(one) keeper, you will have a 13 round draft (beginning round 2) based on our snaking draft order
·         If you choose 2(two) keepers, you will have a 12 round draft (beginning round 3) based on our snaking draft order

You can trade your keepers in the offseason but it must be player for player (subject to commissioner review) no trading of keepers for draft picks this season (we will revisit this though)

Draft
Bluntly put, proxy drafting is discouraged, I understand that things happen sometimes (especially emergencies / work etc) and you cannot attend or be near a smart phone or computer. I want it to be crystal clear that I reserve the right to replace you as the owner of your team if this becomes a season to season problem. I want the league to be engaging and fun, chronic by proxy drafting shows that you are unable or unwilling to participate in what should be a fun experience. In addition failure to help out minimally with a guide sheet (ranking players, positions wanted per round, exclude list etc) will be looked upon very negatively.

Drafting an already drafted player results in your turn being skipped. You get another chance after the next team in order SUCCESSFULLY drafts a player

Waivers
The league will follow waiver rules as per Yahoo! Waiver order will begin the season as 1-12 based on draft order
When playoffs begin the 4 teams in the championship bracket will have priority 1-4 (the playoff team that had the highest priority beginning the playoffs will have #1 and so on) Same method for the consolation Bracket 5-8, eliminated teams are locked and cannot make drops or ads.

Playoff tiebreakers
THERE MAY BE A TIME WHEN YAHOO! WILL COMPUTE INCORRECTLY THIS IS THE ONLY ACCEPTED WAY!

How are the division winners determined?
1. Franchise with the most wins (in the event of a tie that counts as a ½ win)
2. Head to head record (cumulative wins amongst the tied teams)
3. Divisional Wins
4. Total points during your divisional games
5. Total points (divisional and non-divisional points)

If there are three or more teams tied. Teams that do not remain tied through the order
will be eliminated from consideration.
The process will continue down the order of importance until there is only one division champ.

How is the wildcard team determined?
Once the three divisional championships are determined, the remaining teams will be ranked independent of their divisions. The same process as stated above will be used to determine the 4th -12th place franchises.
The 4th place team becomes the wildcard team.
The only change in the order of importance is that rules 3 and 4
(Divisional Wins and total points during your divisional games) will not be a factor.
So ranking 4-12 will follow this order

1. Franchise with the most wins (in the event of a tie that counts as a ½ win)
2. Head to head record (cumulative wins amongst the tied teams)
3. Total points (divisional and non-divisional points)

Another exception is this; if three or more teams are tied with one another the head to head record cannot be used if the total games played amongst the tied teams are not the same for all tied teams. Unless one of the tied teams is undefeated (or completely defeated) against all teams it is tied with. If this does not occur then they will be divided simply by total points.

If there are three or more teams tied. Teams that do not remain tied through the order will be eliminated from consideration.

For example   / /  each end the season 8-6 none of them were division champs

Tim was 1-1 against Tom, 0-1 against Hannes
Tom was 1-1 against Tim, 0-1 against Hannes
Hannes was 2-0 against Tim and Tom

Result
#4 Hannes
#5 Tim
#6 Tom

Revolving Divisions NEW 2019
Beginning 2019 season we will realign the divisions every season based on final rankings
Gold Division
1.       1st place team (pick 12)
2.      4th place team (pick 10)
3.      7th place team (pick 3)
4.      10th place team (pick 7)
Silver Division
1.       2nd place team (pick 11)
2.      5th place team (pick 1)
3.      8th place team (pick 4)
4.      11th place team (pick 6)
Bronze Division
1.       3rd place team (pick 9)
2.      6th place team (pick 2)
3.      9th place team (pick 8)
4.      12th place team (pick 5)

Draft order
Picks 1-4 are determined via the consolation bracket (winner gets #1, loser gets #4)
Picks 5-8 (12th place team gets 5th, 11th gets 6th, 10th gets 7th, 9th gets 8th)
Pick 9 - 3rd place team (winning the loser bracket gets you the higher pick
Pick 10 - 4th place team
Pick 11 - 2nd place team
Pick 12 - League champion

Most league scoring and rule change proposals come to a vote brought out by the commish (7 votes needed for a veto proof change) Commish always votes at the end, and if the commish's vote leads to a 6-6 tie the tie goes to the commish opinion.

Trades are subject to review and discretion by the commish to approve or disapprove (no player dumping to stockpile another team for the payoffs etc.) (giving players to other teams to obviously set up and defeat a close rival) (other...)
You must play to win, week in and week out, even if you have been eliminated OR secured a playoff position.  I realize playing to win is a subjective call but collusion with other teams will not be tolerated.  I will be the judge, jury and executioner in these subjective calls.

You know how this works, we have all been going at this minimum 5 years, most of you 15 years. For the most part this is a democracy with an annually elected dictator. IF anyone wants to be the commish we vote on it every year.
